Luis Gerardo Rodriguez Leal

Luis Gerardo Rodriguez Leal has extensive experience in process engineering and project management within the brewing industry. Luis Gerardo has held various roles at Heineken México, including Director of Projects & Engineering, Supply Chain Sr. Manager of Process Engineering, Supply Chain Manager of Process Engineering, Brewing & Safety Engineering Manager, Brewing & Services Engineering Manager, and Brewing Specialist & Project Manager. Their responsibilities have included managing CapEx portfolio, overseeing budget and cashflow management, ensuring technical validation and approval of CapEx requests, and conducting project management for brewing and safety processes. Luis has also worked at Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma as the Brewing Engineering Responsible for a new Greenfield brewery and as a Coordinator for Brewing Engineering & Project Management. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong focus on scope, budget, and technical solution for project execution.

Luis Gerardo Rodriguez Leal has a diverse education history. Luis Gerardo started their education journey in 1995 at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical/Administration Engineering. Luis Gerardo completed this program in the year 2000.

In 2006, Luis attended the Siebel Institute of Brewing Technology in Chicago, IL, and the Doemens Academy in Munich, Germany, earning a Brew Master Diploma in Brewing.

Continuing their education, they completed the IPMA Certification Level D in Project Management at the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2012. This certification indicates their expertise in project management skills.

Between 2013 and 2014, Luis participated in the Leading To Win Program at ICAMI (Centro de Formación y Perfeccionamiento Directivo). This program focused on the development of leadership skills specific to Heineken.

In 2015, they undertook a Mentoring program at the Universidad de Monterrey, specializing in accelerating talent development.

Luis then pursued the HEI Impact Leadership Program, focusing on the development of leadership skills. Luis Gerardo completed this program at the EGADE Business School del Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2016 to 2017 and later at the IPADE Business School from 2017 to 2018.

Additionally, Luis obtained a certification in DIGIFIT Learning Journey – Part 1 from The HEINEKEN Company in September 2021.
