Charles Richardson

VP, Operations at Heinz Endowments

As The Heinz Endowments’ vice president of operations, Charles Richardson oversees the integration and function of all of the foundation’s day-to-day operations. He develops and manages the administrative, support, technology and cybersecurity direction for the Endowments in accordance with the requirements set by the president and board of directors. He supervises the planning and implementation of grants management, knowledge management, information technology and cybersecurity, office and facilities management activities of the foundation and anticipates the ever-changing needs of the organization. This includes introducing new procedures, technologies and security practices as needed.

Prior to his work with the Heinz organizations, Charles served as the national director of operations for the John Kerry for President campaign. For two years of the Clinton administration, he worked in the White House as a special assistant to White House operations. Before working at the White House, he served as a network engineer for the state of Arkansas and as network administrator for the Ozarks Unlimited Resources (O.U.R.) Educational Cooperative.

Charles has a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational leadership from Point Park University.
