Christie Cawley

Director, Human Resources at Heinz Endowments

Christie Cawley joined The Heinz Endowments on a part-time basis in February 2022 as the director of human resources. She also is president of tHRive-People Practices for Nonprofits, which is supported by the Endowments and The Forbes Funds.

With more than 25 years of professional experience, Christie specializes in leadership development, talent management and business performance. She has extensive experience as a nonprofit leader, human resources professional, executive coach and business consultant. Her previous positions include serving as a human resources director for Macy’s/Federated Department Stores and as corporate human resources director for American Eagle Outfitters Inc. She has been an executive director of Family House Inc. and a consultant for a number of nonprofits, including ACTION Housing Inc., Literacy Pittsburgh, Humane Animal Rescue, Pennsylvania Resources Council, Global Links and the Hillman Family Foundations.

Christie has a BA in applied psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management, the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association and International Coach Federation. She also is a Certified Master Trainer with Predictive Index Worldwide, Inc. and a member of Vistage Trusted Advisors Group. In addition, Christie serves as the Program Ambassador for CEOs Against Stigma, an initiative of the National Alliance on Mental Illness Keystone Pennsylvania.
