Kirsten Ross, CSP has a long and varied work experience. Kirsten began their career in 2012 as a Student Study Abroad for Vive Peru, where they volunteered at a hospital, attended Medical and Spanish classes, and assisted in a live birth. In 2013, they worked as a Safety Data Sheet Coordinator/Intern for Central Garden and Pet, where they trained on the UN Globally Harmonized System and the new 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, classified chemicals/products to OSHA, DOT, IATA, EPA and FIFRA regulations, and researched, programmed, and authored chemical/product Safety Data Sheets. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Eaton in various roles, including Continuous Improvement Supervisor, Environmental Health & Safety - Leadership Development Program, and Environmental Health & Safety - Leadership Development Program. During their time at Eaton, they managed a team of 9 employees, achieved Eaton EHS auditor certification, launched Model 3 production line, and saved the company a projected $1M per year by executing a 12v battery recycling program. Since 2017, they have been working at Tesla as an Environment, Health and Safety Manager, NAM EHS Commercial & Supercharger, and EHS Associate Regional Manager. In their roles at Tesla, they have managed a team overseeing all installation, commissioning, service, and engineering support for photovoltaic panels, battery storage and charging commercial products in North America, developed key performance objectives aligning with operational goals, developed leadership EHS roles and responsibilities, and executed training and mentorship. Most recently in 2022, they began working at Heirloom as an Environment, Health and Safety Manager.

Kirsten Ross, CSP received their Bachelor's of Health Science from Purdue University in 2013, with a field of study in Environmental Health Sciences and Occupational Health. In 2014, they obtained DOT Hazardous Materials and EPA RCRA Hazardous Waste Management certifications from Safety-Kleen, as well as a Heartsaver: First Aid CPR AED certification from the American Heart Association. Kirsten also received a 30 Hour OSHA Certification from Purdue University. In 2016, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, and in 2018 they became a Certified Safety Professional and a Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP).
