Matt Barnard

Matt Barnard has had a long and varied career. From 2011 to 2013, they served as VP Deployment & Delivery (Customer Projects / Operations) at Itron, Inc. Matt then went on to become a Cofounder & Director, Cofounder & Executive Chair, and Cofounder & CEO of Plenty® from 2013 to 2022. During this time, they worked to make sustainable farmland to convert agriculture into a 24/7/365 utility while growing memorable, clean, fresh, healthy food anywhere with the technological and scientific power of their modern farms. From 2020 to 2021, they served as a Strategic Advisor to the Founder at Pandion, Heirloom, Afresh, Pop Together, and Nooks. In 2021, they became a Strategic Advisor to the Founders at Larroude Inc. Lastly, from 2013 to present, they have served as an Advisor for Corporate Development, Operations, and Finance for multiple companies.

Matt Barnard obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University between 1990 and 1995, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Northwestern University during the same time period. In 2002, they completed a Masters of Science in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
