Saptarshi Datta has held a variety of roles in the engineering field since 2013. Saptarshi began their career at SPP Canada Aircraft, Inc. (SPPCA) as an Analyst in 2013. In 2016, they moved to Diamond Aircraft as a Liaison Engineer (E.I.T). In 2017, they joined BOMBARDIER as an Engineer (P.Eng, PMP). In 2020, they joined 3 Points Aviation as a Stress Engineer (P.Eng PMP). In 2021, they moved to Varcon Inc. as a Project Engineer. Saptarshi is currently employed at Heirloom as a Project Engineer since 2022.

Saptarshi Datta began their educational journey in 2010 when they attended Ryerson University, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Engineering in 2015. Saptarshi then returned to Ryerson University and obtained a Master of Applied Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering in 2018. In 2017 and 2018, Saptarshi also attended the Canadian Securities Institute, where they earned a Canadian Securities Course in Finance. In 2014, they attended the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics. Additionally, Saptarshi has obtained several certifications, including Ethics for the Corrosion Professional from the AMPP: Association for Materials Protection and Performance in 2023, Construction Project Management from Columbia University in 2022, Cold Email Prospecting and Sales Fundamentals from LinkedIn in 2022, Introduction to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Operational Excellence Foundations from LinkedIn in 2020, Python: Data Analysis (2015) from LinkedIn in 2020, Project Management Foundations: Risk from LinkedIn in 2019, Cert Prep: Project Management Professional (PMP) from LinkedIn in 2019, Accounting Fundamentals from LinkedIn in 2016, NASA and Saylor.org's Survey of Systems Engineering from The Saylor Academy in 2014, Lean from YDelay Group in 2013, and Six Sigma from YDelay Group in 2013.
