Barbara Chow

Barbara Chow has extensive experience in the field of education and policy. Barbara worked at the Heising-Simons Foundation as the Education Program Director since May 2017. Prior to that, they were a Resident Fellow at the Bellagio Center in March and April 2017. From 2009 to 2017, they served as the Education Program Director at the Hewlett Foundation. Before that, they worked as the Policy Director at the House Budget Committee from January 2007 to October 2008. In 1997, they were a Program Associate Director at the Office of Management and Budget until 2001. Barbara began their career as a Professional Staff Member at the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, where they served from 1985 to 1989.

Barbara Chow obtained their Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied from 1978 to 1980.
