Msod Karina Rivera

Karina Rivera, MSOD has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations. Karina started their career in 2008 as an Adult and Aging Services Intern at San Mateo County. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Behavior Specialist at Pacific Autism Center for Education. In 2012, they also joined VIVA Social Impact Partners as a Project Coordinator, eventually transitioning to the role of Senior Associate Consultant from 2014 to 2017. At VIVA, they focused on collective impact projects and the development of professional development systems for early childhood educators. Since 2017, Karina has been working at the Heising-Simons Foundation, starting as a Program Staff member and later taking on roles such as Education Special Projects & Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Organizational Development & HR Specialist, and currently serving as Director of Human Resources. Karina'sresponsibilities at the foundation include project management, meeting design and facilitation, grant management, and vendor management.

Karina Rivera, MSOD, completed their education at the University of San Francisco, where they obtained a Master of Science in Organization Development between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, Karina attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology.
