Richard Van Etten

Rick Van Etten is a highly accomplished medical professional currently serving as Chief Medical Advisor at Helio Health since July 2018 and as Director of the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at UC Irvine since October 2013. Prior to these roles, Rick Van Etten directed the Tufts Cancer Center and led the Hematology/Oncology Division at Tufts Medical Center from 2003 to 2013. Rick Van Etten's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biophysics and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology and Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
