Matthew M.

Matthew M. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Matthew currently works for Heliogen as the Vice President of Solar Field Design & Operations, a position they have held since January 2024. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director of Program Management, Test, & Reliability at Heliogen from June 2022 to January 2024.

Before joining Heliogen, Matthew worked at Romeo Power, Inc. where they held various program management positions. Matthew was the Director of Program Management from September 2021 to June 2022, the Senior Manager of Program Management from December 2019 to September 2021, and a Program Manager from December 2018 to December 2019.

Earlier in their career, Matthew gained experience at Zodiac Aerospace in different roles. Matthew was a Program Manager in charge of the CRJ Next Gen2 Interior from September 2016 to December 2018, and for the A350XWB Lavatories from July 2015 to September 2016. Matthew also served as a Technical Sales Engineer from August 2014 to July 2015 and as an Advanced Concepts Engineer from August 2013 to August 2014. Prior to that, they had interned at the same company as an Advanced Concepts Intern from May 2012 to August 2012, and from May 2011 to August 2011.

Matthew's early work experience includes serving as a Viterbi Student Ambassador at the University of Southern California from August 2010 to May 2012. Overall, their work experience exhibits a strong background in program management and engineering within the renewable energy and aerospace industries.

Matthew M. holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, which they obtained in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 2012. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and EIT (Engineer-in-Training) from NCEES.
