Holly Hoefer, MS has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Holly started their career in 2001 as the Director of Outpatient Nutrition at University Hospital Augusta GA, where they managed the outpatient nutrition center and significantly increased patient enrollment through the development of additional nutrition protocols. From 2004 to 2010, Holly worked as the Nestle Account Manager (Formerly Novartis) in the SE Region, where they served as a bariatric practice advisor for multi-state regions. Holly then worked as a Consultant, serving as a Strategic Advisor for various projects, including a diabetes study for the University of Kansas Medical Center and as the National Bariatric Consultant for Nutricia North America, DANONE Corporation.
In 2013, Holly joined Apollo Endosurgery (formerly Allergan) as the Reimbursement Business Manager/Strategic Business Manager, responsible for medical practice operations and communications. Following this, they worked at AES- accelerated enrollment solutions from 2015 to 2020 as the Sr. Director - Global Consumer Marketing, focusing on brand management, marketing, and patient recruitment in various areas such as oncology, vaccine research, infectious disease, and men and women's health. Notably, they contributed to AES's Global (Gold Star) award in 2018 and the acquisition of Optimal Research, which won the WVC ViE award for best site network.
Holly then joined PPD in 2020 as the Senior Director Patient Recruitment Ops, leading the overhaul of the patient engagement pathway for early development (Ph1) projects. Holly worked on building new systems, patient-facing marketing, and developing metrics. Holly continued their career at Care Access from 2021 to 2023 as the Vice President, Patient Engagement, establishing and growing various business units supporting IRO and DRO, including patient marketing, education, advocacy, clinical training, data, central call center, and community partnership development.
Currently, Holly is the VP-Patient Engagement and Marketing at Helios Clinical Research, starting in 2023. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in patient engagement, marketing, and business development within the clinical research and healthcare industry.
Holly Hoefer, MS, holds a Master's Degree in Health Communication, which they obtained from Boston University from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Health Science at Georgia Southern University, attending from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, they have also received certification in CPC-H (Certified Professional Coder-Hospital) from AAPC. Holly has also obtained various additional certifications including CITI's ethics in research training in November 2015 and Texas real estate certification from TREC in January 2010. Further, they hold a BLS certification from Red Cross Blood Services.
