Marios Nicolaou

Marios Nicolaou has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Marios is currently working as a Technical Product Manager at Hellas Direct since June 2021.

Prior to that, Marios held various positions at Oman Insurance Company. Marios worked as the Head of Data Management Office from September 2017 to March 2021, where they implemented IFRS-17 and master data management solutions. Marios also deployed SAS Visual Analytics and provided training to end users. Before that, they served as the Vice President of Data Architecture & Analytics from January 2017 to September 2017, responsible for creating and maintaining a company-wide operational data store and data warehouse. Marios also supported insurance and technology projects and conducted data mapping and migration.

Marios also worked as the Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management at Oman Insurance Company from June 2010 to January 2012. In this role, they developed and maintained ERM software and tools, complied with rating agencies' requirements, and prepared rating agency reports.

Before joining Oman Insurance Company, Marios gained experience in various roles. Marios worked as a Senior Software Application Developer at Flagstone Alliance Insurance and Reinsurance Plc from November 2007 to August 2010. Marios also served as a Senior Application/Software Developer at Alliance International Reinsurance Public Company Limited from November 2007 to November 2009.

Furthermore, Marios worked as a Programmer/Developer at Areeba Cyprus Ltd from October 2005 to November 2007 and as a Software Developer at MTN Cyprus in 2005.

Earlier in their career, Marios gained experience in computer sales, service, and support as a Computer Sales, Service, and Support Technician at AT Micro Ltd from May 1998 to August 2001. Marios also served as a Computer Assistant at Arizona State University from August 2000 to January 2001.

Marios Nicolaou began their education at English School Nicosia from 1989 to 1996, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Following this, they attended Arizona State University from 1998 to 2002 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Later, from 2003 to 2005, Marios attended Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, where they completed a Master's degree in Information Systems Management.
