Product Design And Research at Hellas Direct

Thalis Laspias has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the fields of strategic design, service design, user experience, and civil engineering.

Thalis currently works at Hellas Direct as a Senior Strategic Designer. Prior to this, they were the Co-founder of SDN Greece at the Service Design Network.

Thalis also worked at LAMDA Development S.A. as a User Experience Manager for The Ellinikon project. Thalis has prior experience at Capco as a Senior Design Consultant and Strategy & Service Design Consultant.

Thalis served as the Service Design Lead of Innovation Labs at ING and worked as a Customer Experience and User Experience Specialist at Alpha Bank. Thalis also worked as a Strategic Designer at Arup and as a Junior Service Designer at Livework Studio.

In addition, they gained experience in civil engineering as a Civil Engineer at Grid Set Ltd - Felix Constructions. Thalis holds a placement role in service design at Plot.

Thalis Laspias has a diverse education history. They started by completing a course in Digital Disruption & Digital Transformation Strategies at Cambridge Judge Business School in 2020. Then, in the same year, Thalis pursued Entrepreneurship studies at The Wharton School, where they obtained knowledge in that field until 2021.

Prior to these business-oriented studies, Thalis earned a Master of Arts degree in Design: Expanded Practice from Goldsmiths, University of London, from 2014 to 2016. Before specializing in design, Thalis studied Civil Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) from 2006 to 2012, obtaining a Master of Engineering degree. During their engineering studies, Thalis also attended Politecnico di Milano in 2010 to further their knowledge of Civil Engineering.

In addition to these academic achievements, Thalis has a certification in Human-Centered Design obtained from IDEO.org in May 2015.
