George Onopas

George Onopas is an accomplished telecommunications professional with extensive experience in network development and optimization. Currently serving as the Fixed & Mobile Access Network DevOps Director at OTE Group of Companies since August 2018, George has overseen a team of approximately 300 engineers, expanding responsibilities to include DevOps. Prior to this role, George held the position of Fixed & Mobile Access Networks Director at OTE Group from October 2013 to July 2018, managing over 200 engineers. George’s career began at Telecables SA and has included significant roles at COSMOTE Mobile Telecommunications, where achievements include enhancing network performance and developing innovative optimization methods. George holds a Master's degree from Imperial College and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
