Elena Tovar

Elena Tovar, MS, RD has extensive experience in various roles within the field of marketing and clinical nutrition. Elena is currently serving as the Senior Director of Product and Clinical Marketing at Hello Heart. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager of Global Marketing & Strategic Planning at Cepheid and as the Director of Clinical and Partnership Marketing at Propeller Health. Elena also gained experience as a Clinical and Growth Marketing Manager at uBiome and as an Account Manager and Liaison to Medical Marketing at Nestle Infant Nutrition. Elena has held positions as a Health Coach at Rise Labs, Inc., a Sports Dietitian for Lehman Athletic Department, and a Lead Clinical Dietitian at Montefiore Health System. Elena has also worked as a Dietitian Extern at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and as a Writer for Livestrong Foundation / Demand Studios.

Elena Tovar, MS, RD obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition from RUSH University from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Sciences from Boston University between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they studied Human Development at UC San Diego from 2001 to 2004. Elena has also obtained several certifications including "Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist" from New York State in 2012 and "Registered Dietitian" from the Commission on Dietetic Registration in 2011.
