Jim Butts

Jim Butts is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Engineering Manager at Alma since June 2023, where a team of engineers was built to develop internal tools and provide engineering support while overseeing a significant replatforming initiative. Previously, at Nerdery from June 2012 to January 2023, Jim held roles as Principal Software Engineer and Engineering Manager, focusing on team development, career coaching, and delivering customer-driven web solutions. Additional experience includes positions as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at JTnet, Inc., and early roles as an Interactive Specialist at various companies. Jim holds a BS in Computer Science from Millikin University, earned in 2007.
