William Wenhan Zhang has a long and varied work experience. William Wenhan began their career in 2006 as a Research Scientist at The Graduate Center, BUPT. In 2009, they were a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft and a Teaching Assistant at Columbia Engineering. In 2010, they worked as an Associate at Credit Suisse, where they led a team to design and develop an auditing strategy to automate quantitative models inventory reports generation. In 2013, they worked as a Senior Engineer at Goldman Sachs, where they developed internal workflow tools to support equity trading desks. In 2015, they were the VP, Head of Engineering at Honest Buildings (acquired by Procore). In 2019, they were an Engineering Leader at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they served as a site leader and launched several critical features and products. In 2021, they became the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Alfred, where they led the product team to identify the opportunity in B2B and transitioned the vision from DTC to the B2B2C model. Finally, in 2022, they became a Member of the New York CTO Club.
William Wenhan Zhang has earned two Masters of Science degrees in Computer Science from Columbia University and Columbia Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. William Wenhan also holds two certifications from the Scrum Alliance, a Certified Scrum Product Owner obtained in August 2018 and a Certified ScrumMaster obtained in January 2019.
