Dr. Anja Zimmer

Dr. Anja Zimmer is a Digital Health Researcher at HelloBetter since November 2022. Previously, Dr. Zimmer completed a PhD at the University of Basel from January 2018 to August 2022, focusing on the development of gamified augmented reality smartphone applications for the treatment of specific phobias, and contributed to virtual reality projects addressing fear of heights and public speaking. Dr. Zimmer's experience includes a research stay at Freie Universität Berlin, various research assistant roles involving clinical trials and app development at Universitäre Psychiatrische Kliniken Basel, and an internship at Klinik Schützen Rheinfelden. Dr. Zimmer's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience, and partial completion of a Master of Advanced Studies in Person-Centered Psychotherapy at the University of Basel.
