Dr Annemarie O'Connor has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dr Annemarie currently serves as the Chief Innovation Officer at HelloSelf since 2019. Prior to this role, they were the Chief Clinical Growth Officer and Consultant Clinical Psychologist at HelloSelf from 2019 to 2023.

Before joining HelloSelf, Dr O'Connor co-founded themindworks, a private clinical psychology clinic in London. Dr Annemarie served as the Clinical Director and Clinical Psychologist at themindworks from 2012 to 2019, leading a team that provided assessments and evidence-based treatments for a variety of difficulties, specializing in anxiety and trauma.

Dr O'Connor also held positions at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust as a Principal Clinical Psychologist (2010-2012) and at West London Mental Health NHS Trust as a Specialist Principal Clinical Psychologist (2006-2010).

Their earlier experience includes working as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist at Humber Centre for Forensic Psychiatry (2004-2006), where they assessed and treated adults with mental illness and a forensic history, as well as working on designing and developing a new service for assessing adults as a possible risk to children.

Dr Annemarie O'Connor completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology from the University of Hull, from 1998 to 2001. Dr Annemarie then pursued a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the same institution, from 2001 to 2004. Later, they obtained a Post-graduate Certificate in Applied Systemic Theory from The Tavistock & Portman, from 2008 to 2009.
