Simon Cho

Simon Cho is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and MLOps. Currently serving as a Senior Research Engineer at Helm.ai since May 2023, Simon previously worked as an Applied Scientist at Amazon, where the implementation of MLOps significantly reduced the experimentation cycle for a customer-facing NLP chatbot. Prior to Amazon, Simon held the position of Senior Research Scientist at Two Six Technologies, enhancing deep learning NLP model performance by 38%. Additionally, as a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, Simon developed a theoretical framework for extracting geometric and spatial features, presenting this work at prestigious seminars. Simon earned a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania, along with a Master of Advanced Studies from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.
