Yan xu

Yan Xu has a diverse work experience in the field of research and engineering. They started their career as a Research Scholar at CAS-MPG Partner Institute for Computational Biology in 2012. In 2014, they served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, a role they held until 2019. Yan then worked as a Quant Research Associate at Deutsche Bank from September 2019 to April 2021. From April to September 2021, they worked as a Quantitative Researcher at BNP Paribas. They then joined Twitter as a Machine Learning Engineer from September 2021 to January 2023. Currently, Yan is a Research Engineer at Helm.ai, starting from February 2023. They also have experience as a Quant Research Intern at Quest Partners LLC in 2018. Yan Xu completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Risk Management Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2008 to 2013. In 2010 and 2011, Yan Xu attended the University of Alberta as an exchange student and studied Applied Mathematics. Following this, Yan Xu pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University from 2013 to 2019.
