Inti Alberto De La Rosa Velázquez has extensive experience in genomics and next-generation sequencing. Inti Alberto is currently the Head of the Genomics Core Facility at Helmholtz Zentrum München since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of the Next Generation Sequencing Core Facility at the same institution from October 2019 to December 2020. In 2019, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max-Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics. From 2016 to 2019, they were the Head of the NGS facility and a Research Associate at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where they focused on cancer epigenomics and the use of repetitive genomic elements as potential biomarkers. Inti Alberto also served as the Head of the Next Generation Sequencing Facility at the Research Support Network, National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán. In 2015, they worked as a Visiting Scientist at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán, conducting research in human epigenomics and advising on projects using next-generation sequencing. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoc at the Max-Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics from 2008 to 2015 and at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology from 2007 to 2008.
Inti Alberto De La Rosa Velázquez earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 1997 to 2002. Subsequently, from 2002 to 2007, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Genetics from the same institution.
