Peter Horvath

Peter Horvath is a seasoned researcher and leader in the field of biochemistry and molecular medicine, currently serving as a Senior Group Leader at Helmholtz Munich since October 2023. With a significant tenure as Director and Group Leader at the Institute of Biochemistry at the Biological Research Centre in Szeged, Hungary, beginning in October 2013, Peter also holds the position of Finnish Distinguished Professor (FiDiPro) Fellow at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) since January 2014. Additionally, Peter has contributed as an Image Processing Senior Researcher at ETH Zurich since October 2007 and completed academic training as a PhD student at the University of Szeged from 2005 to 2007. Peter's expertise is rooted in a solid educational background in computer science.
