Kindie Getu is an experienced professional in humanitarian response, gender mainstreaming, and protection strategies. Currently serving as a Manager at Gera Community Wellbeing Training & Development consultancy since October 2024, responsibilities include consulting and providing training on gender-based violence prevention, child protection, and inclusion strategies for marginalized groups. Previously, Kindie held the position of Protection & Inclusion Officer at HelpAge International, focusing on humanitarian response programming for vulnerable populations. As a Gender Specialist for SNNPR's IDA Urban Infrastructural and Institutional Development Project, coordination of gender mainstreaming programs was key, while roles at MARY JOY ETHIOPIA involved economic strengthening initiatives. Kindie also has a background in education as an Instructor and has supported various community development efforts as a Multi Sectorial Response Officer. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Dilla University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Gondar.
