Mike Duin has held a variety of roles in the software engineering and accounting industries since 2001. Mike began their career as the Founder + Commissioner + Experience Developer of A Level Above Fantasy Sports, where they founded the A Level Above Championship Series, a non-profit, year-round competition in which participants compete in a variety of professional and college sports-based skill games and pools. In 2008, they joined Wunderman as a Senior Operations Analyst, where they managed business plans for 20+ segments of Wunderman's Microsoft commercial and consumer business and built and utilized reporting tools designed to provide insight into data metrics. Mike also held the positions of Client Accountant and Accounting Assistant at Wunderman. In 2009, they founded the Lower Queen Anne Beer Pong Association, where they designed a scorecard-based stat-tracking system and developed a detailed formula to measure a beer pong player's true performance level. In 2016, they joined Galvanize as a Full-Stack Web Development Fellow, where they created TennisTally, a scorekeeping and stat-tracking application for recreational tennis players, and worked in a team of four to build NervousDonut, an Express-driven creative writing application. In 2017, they became a Technical Co-Founder at Helping Habit PBC. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Slalom Build as a Senior Software Engineer.
Mike Duin attended the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business and the University of Southern California from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
