Valerie Barnes MSW, LSW, QMHP is an experienced social worker and therapist with a strong background in mental health care and case management. Currently serving as a Contract Social Worker since May 2023, Valerie has been with the Helping Hand Center as a Residential Trainer and Social Worker since December 2015. Additional roles include Counselor/Therapist at Safer Foundation from August 2021 to May 2023, and Intensive Outpatient Counselor at TASC, Inc. from May 2019 to August 2021, where responsibilities included evaluating patients' needs and coordinating care. Valerie also has hospice experience from Care Hospice and staffing coordination experience from VITAS Healthcare. Valerie holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Aurora University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration from Governors State University.
