Andres Mafla Delgado

Andres Mafla Delgado is an accomplished AI Research Engineer at Helsing since November 2022. Previously, Andres served as a Pre-Doctoral Researcher at the Computer Vision Center from October 2018 to November 2022, focusing on machine learning problems related to fine-grained image classification, retrieval tasks, and visual question answering, with publications in prominent conferences such as ECCV and ICCV. A research internship at NAVER LABS Europe occurred between October 2019 and February 2020, where the work centered on cross-modal and multimodal visual search. Earlier career experience includes roles at Banco Central del Ecuador as a TI Expert and at Huawei as a Core Network Engineer.
