Elina Brandt possesses extensive experience in research and planning within the fields of transport and demography. Currently serving as a Strategic Planner, Senior Researcher, and Transport Analyst at HSL Helsingin seudun liikenne since October 2015, Elina focuses on travel behavior surveys and car ownership in the Helsinki region. Prior to this role, Elina spent a decade at the University of Helsinki, engaging in significant research on socio-economic factors related to living alone and partner selection, culminating in a doctoral thesis examining socio-economic homogamy's impact on cohabiting unions. Elina holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Demography and Population Studies from the University of Helsinki, alongside a Master’s Degree in the same field.
