Kristiina Vuori

Kristiina Vuori serves as the President and CEO of Sanford Laboratories for Innovative Medicines since 2023. Concurrently, Vuori has held multiple significant roles at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute since 2006, including Professor, Pauline & Stanley Foster Distinguished Chair, President, Director of the NCI-designated Cancer Center, and Executive Vice President for Scientific Affairs. Vuori is also an active member of the Board of Directors for several organizations, including Inhibrx, Inc., Forian Inc., Bionano Genomics, and has previously served on the boards of Axovant/Sio Gene Therapies, California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, SANFORD CONSORTIUM FOR REGENERATIVE MEDICINE, and WebMD. Educational qualifications include a Docent in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Helsinki and both MD and PhD degrees from the University of Oulu.
