Mike Welling

Mike Welling has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1999 when they were appointed as Head of International Research for Initiative Futures. In 2004, they became Business Development Director and Director of Futures for Initiative. In 2008, Mike founded Welling Business Consulting and FUMZUP, where they served as Founder and Partner for business and product development. From 2011 to 2014, Mike was the Director of Business Development for Cumulus Applications Pty Ltd. During this time, they also founded Ownwayout and served as the CEO/Founder of Zetaris - The Virtual Data Lake. In 2017, Mike became a Special Advisor - Environment for Leave No Trace Australia, and in 2021 they founded Hemisphere Digital, where they currently serve as CEO/Founder.

Mike Welling obtained their Masters from Universidade Federal da Paraíba in 1998, and their Bachelor of Science from University of Southampton between 1992 and 1995. Mike also holds certifications in Vertical Rescue Operator from PACI, Professional Association Climbing Instructors (2015), Work Safely at Heights from PACI - Professional Association Climbing Instructors (2014), Guide - Multi-Pitch Canyons from PACI - Professional Association Climbing Instructors (2014), Apply Advanced First Aid, Apply Advanced Resuscitation Techniques, Apply First Aid, Perform CPR, Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, and Provide First Aid in Remote Situations from Corporate Training Solutions (2013).
