Mark Lawson

Director, Computational Biology at HemoShear Therapeutics

Mark Lawson has a diverse work experience in the fields of computational biology, bioinformatics research, and research assistance. Mark has worked as a Director of Computational Biology at HemoShear LLC since August 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Bioinformatics Research Scientist at UVA Health System from January 2010 to August 2012. Mark also worked as a Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech from September 2004 to December 2009, where they gained experience in research and teaching in the field of computing.

Mark Lawson attended Virginia Tech from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. Mark then continued their education at Virginia Tech from 2004 to 2009, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science.
