Julio Maniratunga

Julio Maniratunga is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in software engineering and leadership. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Hence Technologies since September 2021, Julio has previously held multiple roles including Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at a private surgical clinic and at The African Leadership University, where Julio contributed as both a Software Quality Assurance Manager and a Web Development Team Lead. Julio has also held roles at ALX, African Leadership Network, Smartleaf, and Boundless Learning, encompassing a range of responsibilities from Full Stack Development to Software Engineering. Academically, Julio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Northeastern University and has completed additional credentials from Harvard Business School Online and McKinsey Academy, with a focus on business readiness and team management.
