Jaime A. Castro, PE, LEEP AP, CEM, MBA, PMP has extensive experience in electrical engineering and project management. Jaime's work experience began in 1999 with Halff Associates, where they worked as an Electrical EIT until 2001. From 2001 to 2002, Jaime worked at Blum Consulting Engineers, Inc. as an Electrical EIT. They then joined Basye & Associates, where they served as an Electrical EIT until 2005, leading the design of electrical systems for K-12 and airport projects.

In 2005, Jaime joined Campos Engineering as an Electrical EIT, focusing on electrical design, lighting, power, and fire alarm systems. Notable projects during this time included managing MEP construction for Dallas Independent School District and the University of Texas - AT&T Executive Conference Center.

From 2008 to 2011, Jaime served as an Energy Project Manager at JCPenney, overseeing solar and wind pilot programs, energy management initiatives, and implementing smart meter technologies. They managed the installation of solar systems and smart meters at multiple JCPenney locations, totaling over 4-Megawatts.

Jaime then joined Encotech Engineering Consultants, Inc. in 2011 as a Project Manager and Lead Electrical Engineer. At Encotech, they managed various projects, including the design and project management of a solar system installation for the Austin Convention Center.

In 2012, Jaime worked as a Forensic Electrical Engineer at S-E-A, specializing in investigating electrical faults, conducting failure analysis, and reconstructing accidents. They later joined alliantgroup in 2013 as a Senior Project Engineer, responsible for reviewing and certifying commercial building energy models and conducting engineering site inspections.

From 2015 to 2017, Jaime served as a Senior Electrical Engineer at estudio Architecture, focusing on electrical engineering design.

Currently, Jaime is with Henderson Engineers, where they hold two roles. First, as an Electrical Engineer PM, their responsibilities include project management and leading electrical engineering projects. Second, as the Aviation Practice Manager, they specialize in designing airport projects and blending aviation experience with luxury retail, restaurants, and entertainment design.

Throughout their career, Jaime has demonstrated expertise in electrical engineering, project management, energy management, renewable energy, and forensic engineering. They hold several professional certifications, including PE, LEEP AP, CEM, MBA, and PMP.

Jaime A. Castro, PE, LEEP AP, CEM, MBA, PMP has an extensive educational background. In 1994, they obtained their high school diploma from Plano Senior High School with a focus on Medical Science. Following that, from 1994 to 1999, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Southern Methodist University.

To further enhance their skills and knowledge, Castro enrolled in Southern Methodist University once again and completed a Master of Science degree in Facility Management (MSFM) from 2004 to 2007.

In 2020, they joined Texas A&M University-Kingsville to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General. Jaime A. completed their MBA program in 2021. Additionally, while studying at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, they obtained a certificate in Managing People in a Global Enterprise.

In terms of certifications, Castro has earned multiple qualifications. Jaime A. became a Professional Engineer (Electrical) in various states, including Texas, Colorado, Georgia, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Kentucky. These certifications were obtained between 2011 and 2015 from the respective state boards and departments.

Jaime A. also holds a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers, obtained in December 2010. Furthermore, they attained the LEED AP (O+M) certification from the United States Green Building Council in October 2010.

Most recently, in 2022, Castro obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, and they are an active member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi since November 2021. Lastly, they acquired the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from the Professional Photographers of America in November 2019.
