Electrical Design Engineer at Henderson Engineers

Matt Reineman is an Electrical Design Engineer at Henderson Engineers since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Willdan as an Electrical Engineer from March 2022 to January 2023, where they revamped HVAC and lighting systems for older buildings and calculated electrical loads. Matt also assisted with solar layouts and drafted plans. From November 2019 to March 2022, Matt worked as an Individual Trader. Before that, they were a Project Manager and Electrical Engineer at GPW & Associates, LLC from January 2017 to November 2019. In these roles, they managed architectural-engineering projects and supervised interns. Matt also designed lighting layouts and power systems for various projects. Matt was a Reliability Engineer at Westar Energy from April 2013 to August 2014, where they developed maintenance and replacement strategies and conducted root-cause analyses for power outages. Matt served as an Energy Efficiency Coordinator and Information Technology Administrator at Weaver's Department Store from 2003 to 2013, where they reduced electric energy consumption by retrofitting lighting and improved the store's IT infrastructure. In addition, Matt worked as a SCADA Engineer at POWER Engineers from January to August 2012, where they designed and implemented substation SCADA systems. Matt began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Kansas Transportation Research Institute from May 2009 to August 2010, where they planned and led research projects on electric transit buses.

Matt Reineman, EIT completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering at The University of Kansas from 2004 to 2009. Matt then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, which they completed from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Matt obtained the certification of Intern Engineer from the Kansas State Board of Technical Professions in May 2011.
