Charles Paul

Charles (Chuck) Paul is a highly experienced executive in the field of adhesive technologies, currently serving as Vice President of Technology at Henkel Adhesives since January 2005, where responsibilities include overseeing technology assessments for mergers and acquisitions, as well as managing a global team of over 50 scientists focused on R&D of hot melt adhesives. In addition to this role, Charles is recognized as a Fellow, leading research efforts across various adhesive technologies and fostering connections with academia. Charles contributes to the academic community as an editorial board member for both the Polymers Journal and the Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology, and serves as a board observer for NBD Nanotechnologies and Dropwise Technologies LLC. Previously, Charles was a Corporate Scientist at National Starch and Chemical, leading adhesive product development. Education includes a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
