Sam Olsen currently serves as the Executive Director of Change and Innovation for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils, a position held since April 2024. Previously, Sam Olsen was the Chair of HENRY since September 2016 and held various roles at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) between February 2022 and April 2024, including Director of Service Planning and Delivery and Director of Workplace Transformation. Other leadership positions include Chief Executive Officer at Movement to Work, Director of Children's Social Care, and Deputy Director - Children's Social Care at the Department for Education. Sam Olsen also contributed to the Cabinet Office as Deputy Director of the Partnerships Team and served as Director of Strategy and Development at St Christopher's Fellowship. Earlier in the career, Sam Olsen was the Sales and Marketing Director at Cool2Care and held multiple roles at Virgin Atlantic, culminating as VP of Global Sales. Sam Olsen's education includes an MBA from the Open University and time at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, alongside a BSc in Mathematics from Hull University.
