Mary Jane Vogt was appointed senior vice president and chief development officer at Henry Ford Health System in 2019. In this role, Vogt leads the philanthropic and fundraising arm for the health system including strategic planning, solicitation strategy and cultivating donor and volunteer relationships – all for the purpose of making a difference for the patients and communities Henry Ford serves.
Vogt oversees a team of seasoned gift officers that in 2018 secured more than $53 million in philanthropic commitments – one of the health system’s most accomplished fundraising achievements in its more than 100-year history.
Since joining Henry Ford in 1997, Vogt has earned multiple promotions that highlight her leadership, fundraising, strategic planning and operations management skills. She is credited with modernizing the health system’s employee giving program that yielded substantial dollars raised over consecutive years and brought national recognition for its success and organization. She also broadened by two-fold the breadth and depth of the donor base, co-led the largest fundraising campaign in Henry Ford’s history and led a 250 percent growth in major gift giving in recent years. As vice president of development, Vogt directed a campaign that raised more than $105 million in gift commitments in the past three years.
As an active community member, Vogt serves on the boards of the Children’s Center and the Association of Health Care Philanthropy. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s degree from Michigan State University.
