Robin Damschroder, MHSA, FACHE is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Henry Ford Health System. A healthcare leader with more than 27 years of experience, she has served in executive roles with several of Michigan’s leading healthcare systems.
Prior to her role as CFO at Henry Ford, Robin was CEO & Founder of CatalyticFOCUS LLC, a healthcare consulting and business advisory services firm. Her practice focused on both large and small clients who introduced or implemented innovative technology or care models to reduce the cost of care, as well as more traditional strategic operational and financial improvement engagements.
Robin also served as the COO, West Market – Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, a role in which she had direct oversight for $1B in net revenue for two community hospitals and one teaching hospital with a combined total of approximately 700 beds, and two major ambulatory centers. She had regional responsibilities across six hospitals for the integration of radiology and pharmacy, and the development of orthopedics and cancer service line structures.
Prior to joining Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, Robin held various executive financial and operations leadership roles at University of Michigan Health System. During her tenure, as both University of Michigan Health System interim CFO and Controller, she oversaw the activation of the $750 million Children’s Hospital, EPIC ambulatory implementation, and participation in the CMS initial demonstration project, which ultimately led to the University of Michigan Health System’s designation as an Accountable Care Organization.
Robin started her career in 1989 with Deloitte & Touche as an audit intern and grew within the organization to become a senior manager, before joining Henry Ford Health System as an associate controller in 1998.
Robin’s career in healthcare has been propelled by integration and innovation driven by mergers and other market forces. These experiences shaped her into a catalyst for change. She is adept at brining physicians and other stakeholders together, creating a shared vision, maintaining the energy and resilience of the team, and managing performance to achieve desired outcomes. Robin’s strengths include accelerating performance through robust performance management systems that drive cultural norms and accountabilities, integration planning and execution, and introducing new care models and technology that transform not only processes, but also outcomes – cost and quality.
She holds two degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI – Bachelors in General Studies from College of Literature, Science and Arts, and a Masters of Health Services Administration from the School of Public Health.
