Lauren Fair has extensive work experience in the field of conservation. Lauren started their career as a Conservation Technician at William A Lewin Conservator in 2006. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Conservation Intern at various organizations, including Doris Duke's Shangri La and Materials Conservation Collaborative. In 2009, they completed a Conservation Internship at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Lauren then joined Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library, where they held multiple roles, including Advanced Conservation Fellow, Associate Objects Conservator, and Head of Objects Conservation. Lauren also served as an Affiliated Assistant Professor in Art Conservation at Winterthur. Lauren'swork at Winterthur started in 2010 and is ongoing.
Lauren Fair holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Spanish from the University of Delaware, which was completed from 2001 to 2005. Lauren also pursued further education at Winterthur and the University of Delaware, where they obtained a Masters in Science of Art Conservation in the field of Objects Conservation from 2007 to 2010.
