Zack Freeman is currently a Leadership Fellow at the Henry M Jackson Foundation since September 2022 and has been serving as a Research Analyst for the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee (JLARC) since December 2017. Previously, Zack worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at Stanford University from September 2016 to June 2017, focusing on public health policy in Bangladesh. Prior experience includes roles in inbound logistics at Atlas Coffee Importers (March 2014 - July 2015) and as a customs broker at Expeditors (July 2012 - February 2014). Zack holds a master's degree in International Policy Studies with an emphasis on Public Policy Analysis from Stanford University (2015 - 2017) and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Northeastern University (2008 - 2011).

The Henry M Jackson Foundation was founded in 1983 to continue the unfinished work of the late Senator Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson in the areas in which he played a key leadership role: international affairs education, human rights, environment and natural resources management, and public service. Through its grantmaking and strategic initiatives, the Foundation seeks to make a lasting impact and perpetuate the Jackson legacy for the benefit of future generations. In addition to grantmaking, the Foundation's strategic initiatives address critical and timely needs in the Foundation's four program areas. The goal of these strategic initiatives is to leverage additional resources for issues that are central to the Jackson legacy by: - Partnering with other organizations - Convening leaders in the field from nonprofit, foundation and government sectors - Providing opportunities for public dialogue - Organizing forums for in-depth analysis on critical and timely issues Participation in strategic initiatives is primarily conducted on an invitation-only basis; however, interested individuals may contact the Foundation's program officer to discuss potential partnership ideas that are consistent with Foundation interests and priorities.
