Clinical Phd Supervisor at Henry Royce Institute

Hans-Ulrich Laasch currently serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at The University of Manchester and as the Director of Simulation Training at The Christie School of Oncology. Since October 2021, Laasch has also been a Clinical PhD supervisor at the Henry Royce Institute, contributing clinical insights into PhD research on superalloy failure mechanisms for gastro-intestinal stents. Additionally, Laasch is an External Lecturer at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague and a Visiting Professor at the University of Chester, where research focuses on improving the long-term performance and patient safety of medical devices. As Clinical Director at Minnova Medical Foundation CIC, Laasch specializes in gastro-intestinal interventions and is accredited in upper GI endoscopy. Laasch has held various roles including Specialist Advisor in Radiology for the NHS Ombudsman and Honorary Consultant in Interventional Radiology at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Since 2005, Laasch has also been a Consultant Radiologist and Clinical Director of Radiology at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. Laasch earned a medical degree from Albert-Einstein Universität in Ulm, Germany.
