Felipe Ferreira

Felipe Ferreira is the Program Director of East Third Street Residence at Henry Street Settlement. Prior to their current position, Ferreira worked as an Operations Coordinator at Escola de Gente from February 2012 to October 2012. In this role, they oversaw day-to-day core operations and projects, as well as supervised the NGO’s theatre group’s tours. Felipe also fostered relationships with key funders and partners, designed presentations, arranged meetings, and reported progress and results to the Board of Directors. Ferreira utilized Basecamp, a web-based collaboration tool, to raise the organization’s project management standards.

Before working at Escola de Gente, Ferreira held the position of Office Manager at Arts for Learning/Miami from April 2008 to April 2010. In this role, they were responsible for the daily operations of the office, as well as provided administrative support to the Director. Additionally, they coordinated events and managed the organization’s website and social media presence.

Ferreira began their career in 2005 as an Assistant to the Director at Paço Imperial. In this role, they provided administrative support to the Director and helped with event planning and coordination. Felipe also managed the organization’s website and assisted with fundraising efforts.

Felipe Ferreira has a Masters in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work and is certified in Foundations of Project Management and Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project from Coursera | Google. Felipe also has an Executive Education in Developing Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals from Columbia Business School and a BA in Philosophy from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.

Their manager is Geniria Armstrong, VP, Transitional & Supportive Housing. Felipe Ferreira works with Theresa Young - Program Director, Helen’s House, Raihana A. Bosse - Senior Director, Urban Family Center, and Lagene Wright - Director, UFC Operations and Support Services.
