Laura Downey

Laura Downey, SHRM-CP has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. Laura is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at HeplerBroom LLC since July 2019. Prior to this, Laura worked as the Human Resources Manager at HeplerBroom LLC from July 2018 to July 2019. Before joining HeplerBroom LLC, Laura held the position of Human Resources Manager at TricorBraun from May 2016 to December 2017. Laura also worked as an HR Generalist and HR Assistant during their tenure at TricorBraun. Laura's career began in 2006 as an HR Intern at Harris Alternatives, where they gained valuable experience in recruiting. Laura continued to develop their HR skills through roles at Outokumpu and Supplies Network before joining St. Elizabeth's Hospital as an HR Intern. Laura Downey attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Their major was Sociology with a concentration in Employment Relations, and they also pursued a minor in Speech Communication. In 2016, Laura obtained the SHRM - CP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
