Harmen Draisma is a Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics at Nxera Pharma, with substantial experience in statistical multi-omics modelling and analysis. At the University of Surrey, responsibilities included leading quality control and preprocessing of human DNA methylation data in collaboration with Imperial College London. Previously, Draisma served as a Research Associate at Imperial College London, focusing on omics biomarkers for personalized type 2 diabetes. Earlier experience includes roles as a System Developer at Leiden University Medical Center, teaching bioinformatics at Hogeschool Leiden, and conducting postdoctoral research at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in metabolomics and genetics. Draisma began a scientific career as a research assistant in the Department of Cardiology at Leiden University Medical Center.
