Christopher Clay

Christopher Clay is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as a Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills since July 2022. Prior to this role, Christopher was a Director and Assistant General Counsel at MUFG from September 2015 to June 2022 and worked as an Associate at Wiggin and Dana LLP for eight years, from September 2007 to September 2015. Educationally, Christopher Clay holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School, a Ph.D. in Japanese Literature from Yale University, and a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College. Christopher completed education with a high school diploma from Phillips Academy in 1992.
