Michael Panikian

Michael Panikian has extensive work experience in various finance and management roles. Michael most recently served as the Finance Director for Australia at Herbert Smith Freehills. Prior to that, they were the Chief Financial Officer at MinterEllison and Gilbert + Tobin. Michael also worked at Macquarie Group, Salomon Smith Barney, ING Barings, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Coopers & Lybrand in different finance and management positions. Overall, they have a strong background in finance, accounting, and leadership.

Michael Panikian completed their education in a chronological order. Michael attended Sydney Grammar School from 1985 to 1990 for their primary and secondary education. From 1991 to 1994, they studied at the University of Technology Sydney and earned a Bachelor of Business degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance. In 1995, Michael attended the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand to complete their Professional Year Programme. Michael then pursued further studies at the Securities Institute of Australia from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment. Lastly, in 2013, Michael attended the Governance Institute of Australia and completed their education with a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance in 2014.
