Nahla-Alicia Kandah has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Nahla-Alicia began their career as a Manager at Nicole Lee USA, where they were responsible for organizing and rearranging merchandise, ensuring a daily balance of the cash register, and managing the front doors, registers, and deposit boxes when opening and closing the store. From 2012-2014, they worked as a Retail Cashier at EXPRESS, where they assisted customers by being a personal stylist, offered extended rewards and benefits, and ensured cash registers were not short or over the transaction numbers. In 2016, they held three roles simultaneously: Lead Teller at Wells Fargo, Cash Manager at Dog Haus, and Owner at Breaker Active Wear. At Wells Fargo, they were responsible for reviewing accounts to pay items and clear checks, providing overrides for client's daily transactions, and cross-selling and product matching. As Cash Manager at Dog Haus, they managed cash registers to help avoid any loss of overages. As Owner of Breaker Active Wear, they were responsible for developing creative concepts on delivering sales growth and marketability, working closely with vendors, and negotiating product pricings. Finally, in 2017, they worked as a Customer Service Representative at OneWest Bank, where they audited and managed to review files such as new account checklists, account maintenance, and form requests. Currently, they are an Account Coordinator at Herbivore Botanicals, where their responsibilities entail product knowledge for the growth of sales and providing clinical assistance for clients with skin care concerns. Nahla-Alicia also travels within Los Angeles County and Orange County to go into Sephora and educate staff members about the brand's mission and vision purposes.
Nahla-Alicia Kandah attended Mt. San Antonio College from 2013 to 2020, where they obtained an Associate of Science in Retail Buying and Apparel Merchandising. Nahla-Alicia then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Retail Buying and Apparel Merchandising at Cal Poly College of Architecture & Environmental Design from 2017 to 2023. In June 2022, they obtained a certification in AIMS360 and a Retail Buyer/ Apparel Merchandising Associate Degree from Mt. San Antonio College.
