Kristen DeFazio-Schmidt (She/Her/Hers)

Kristen DeFazio-Schmidt has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Kristen is currently the Registrar and Treasurer at the Wolves Hockey Club. She has also held the position of Ethics Chair at the International Federation for Biblio/Poetry Therapy since 2018. From 2012 to the present, Kristen has been with Herc Rentals, where she started as the Director of Administration and Office Manager for Avalanche Equipment and later became the Area Administrator for Herc when Avalanche Equipment was acquired in 2022. Kristen's responsibilities included payroll management, vendor coordination, accounts payable, human resources, marketing, and equipment management. Kristen also has experience as a tutor, working for both Kristen's Private Tutoring and Tutor Doctor since 2018 and 2016 respectively. Kristen has also worked as an Affiliate Professor at Regis University from 2004 to 2012, teaching various courses related to education. Prior to that, Kristen served as a Language Arts Teacher at Rocky Heights Middle School, an Elementary School Teacher at Acres Green Elementary School, an English Teacher at Gateway High School, a Language Arts & Social Studies Teacher at Aurora Hills Middle School, and an elementary school teacher at Sable Elementary, Acres Green Elementary, and Mueller Elementary.

Kristen DeFazio-Schmidt holds a Masters of Liberal Studies degree and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Creative Writing from the University of Denver. Kristen also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Diversified Liberal Arts from the University of San Diego, with an emphasis in Multicultural Studies and a Crosscultural, Language & Academic Development Credential.
