Gil Ong

Gil Ong has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. In 2001, they worked as a Fiber Optic Eqpt Engineer at Frontier Communications, where they engineered projects for the installation of fiber optic equipment. During this time, they established a uniform standard for all future company projects. In 2005, they became the Manager of Operations and Special Events at Rochester Institute of Technology, where they developed operational plans and contributed to management's response to critical incidents. Gil joined Frontier Communications again in 2011 as a Network Engineer, designing access and backhaul circuits and training new engineers. From 2016 to 2022, they worked at Sharp Notions, LLC as a Project Manager, managing multiple website development engagements and facilitating meetings between customers, designers, and developers. In 2022, they joined CloudSmartz as a Business Analyst, reviewing process documentation and leading discovery calls with customers. Currently, in 2023, they hold the role of Project Manager / Business Analyst at Heretto.

Gil Ong obtained a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Gil later pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Tech Management & Marketing at the same institution, graduating in 2005. In August 2018, Gil Ong obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from Rochester Institute of Technology.
