Mary-Ellen Theisen has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple industries. Mary-Ellen started their career as an Educator at New Trier Township High School Northfield in 2001 and worked there until 2007. Mary-Ellen then joined William Mason High School as an English Second Language Specialist from 2016 to 2020, and later took on the role of HOPE Squad Advisor and Certified QPR Trainer from 2018 to 2020. In 2021, Mary-Ellen joined WellSky as a Client Success Manager and worked there until July 2023. Mary-Ellen then joined the American Heart Association as a Business Development Associate in August 2023. Additionally, they co-founded and served as a Director at The Don Greer Heritage Club Memorial Scholarship Fund since September 2011.

Mary-Ellen Theisen holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Corporate Health Promotion from The Ohio State University. Mary-Ellen also obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Health Education and Wellbeing from Northern Illinois University. In addition, Mary-Ellen Theisen is a Certified QPR Trainer from the QPR Institute.
